This #GivingTuesday, Ensure the Seeds Dr. Lotta Planted Continue to Grow

Seventy years ago Dr. Lotta Hitschmanova founded USC Canada and poured her heart into helping a world shaken by World War II. She planted the seeds - now together we ensure they keep growing.

Lotta worked for decades to make the world a "better, kinder place for all." She inspired Canadians to make layettes for women in refugee camps halfway around the globe and trained midwives to help bring their babies safely into the world. She sent clothes to France in the 1940s and funded orphanages and school programs for kids the war left without parents.

Today, we strive to live up to her example. With a focus on farmers and their families in marginalized regions around the world, we aim to continue her work.

With your steadfast support, we work with farmers in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Recently, the government funding USC Canada receives shifted to focus on programming solely in Africa and Latin America. But USC Canada remains deeply committed to supporting some of the most vulnerable and marginalized families in Bangladesh, Nepal and Timor Leste to meet one of their most essential needs: safe, plentiful and nutritious food.

We need your help to grow Lotta's legacy with farmers in these countries. Donate today.
