A New Hub for Farmers at 3,000 Metres

With a small bit of support, our partner organization in Nepal made a big difference.

A two story stone building at the top of a small rise. The window frames and doors are make from light wood.

Thanks to Canadian generosity we were able to give SHIP Nepal, our partner organization, a small grant in addition to our regular support. And they ran with it. Now they're the first organization in the region to have a permanent office – no small feat for a locale 3,000 metres above sea level, where it's pretty essential to source materials locally.

This new focal point for SHIP Nepal's work will save them the future expense of renting land and office space from which to do their work with small farmers in the Himalayan region of Humla.

Congrats SHIP Nepal!
